Edward, owner of Grimes Paint & Body, developed a passion for automobiles at an early age, starting with building and painting model cars. That passion quickly grew into working on full-sized vehicles after purchasing his first truck, setting the foundation for a lifelong career in collision repair.
After graduating from auto body trade school, Edward entered the industry and discovered he thrived in the fast-paced environment of repairing wrecked vehicles. Over the next 20 years, he built his expertise working in large collision repair shops, gaining extensive hands-on experience and refining his craft.
During that time, Edward noticed a concerning trend—many shops prioritized insurance companies over the needs of their customers. Recognizing the importance of having someone advocate for proper, high-quality repairs, he became determined to take a different approach. Grimes Paint & Body was founded after Edward made the difficult decision to leave his position following a disagreement over proper repair practices. During a period of uncertainty, he and his wife, Gina, spent time in prayer and careful consideration about their future. Ultimately, they made the bold decision to invest their life savings into building a business grounded in integrity, transparency, and doing what’s right for the customer.
Today, Grimes Paint & Body is built on a simple principle: every vehicle should be repaired the right way—never the easiest or cheapest way. With a reputation for expert craftsmanship, honest service, and customer-first values, the shop continues to serve the community with a commitment to quality and trust.
